The Yamaha Xeno 8335IIRSLN is here! This horn is cool for a number of reasons, one of them being the cryogenic treatment it’s undergone.
The Xeno Series is an ever-evolving design that fuses exemplary craftsmanship, technology, and the vision of artists worldwide.
The 8335IIRSLN offers a reverse tuning slide that allows for smooth resistance and ease of playability, a medium-large bore (.459”), removal of the 3rd valve water key, and a heavy mouthpiece receiver.
AND, this model has been cryogenically treated—a cryogenic treatment is the process of freezing, in this case, a trumpet to temperatures below -310 degrees Fahrenheit and -190 degrees Celsius. The process removes residual stress on the instrument and can improve wear resistance.
Not convinced the treatment makes a difference? Come by and give the 8335IIRSLN a try for yourself!
