"You think that there's 7 notes involved, and we can do so many things with those 7 notes." Check out Episode 2 of our My First Step Series featuring Jeremy Duby, Director of Bands at Olivet College and Warren Concert Band Conductor. #myfirststep #iplayhere
The New CajonTab!
We're excited to announce we're now stocking the CajonTab, by Louson Drums! The CajonTab takes playing the cajon into the realm of what the ukulele did for the guitar. The CajonTab isn't the same instrument as the cajon, but it's much more portable, and it has a great sound!
The CajonTab, just like a cajon, has a playing surface on the front and a resonating box behind it. Unlike most cajons, there is a port that allows the player to tune the pitch of the bass note, and it has a snare that you can "turn on or off".

Drum Circle Wrap Up!
Make Music Day 2018 was a blast! Thank you to all who joined in our drum circle! We are grateful for the opportunity to play music with you all, and we're happy to have hosted this event on this amazing day of music making.
"In 1982, France’s Ministry of Culture dreamed up an idea for a new kind of musical holiday. They imagined a day where free, live music would be everywhere: street corners and parks, rooftops and gardens, store fronts and mountaintops.
And, unlike a typical music festival, anyone and everyone would be invited to join and play music, or host performances. The event would take place on the summer solstice, June 21, and would be called Fête De La Musique. (In French, the name means both “festival of music” and “make music!”)" - Make Music Day Website
Until next year!
